Flogas have joined forces with YesChef to launch the search for YesChef Chef of the Year 2014, along with a limited number of prestigious awards to be voted for by YesChef readers and diners across the island.
There will be six categories, “YesChef of the year”, “Best front of house”, “Best restaurant”, “Best young chef” and “Best gastro pub”. The sixth will be the “Reader award” where the winner will be the chef who receives the highest amount of reader nominations. It is anticipated that each award will attract many nominations - news about the awards has leaked and nominations have already been flooding in!
The top award will go to only one chef on the island - YesChef Chef of the Year will not only receive a prized trophy to display in his/her restaurant but a TAGHuer time piece valued at over €1,200.00. The winning chef will also feature in YesChef Ireland, an additional prize valued at €1,000.00! All other categories will receive a trophy of recognition for their efforts which they can proudly display for all to see.

How To Vote
Readers will vote for their favourite and a team of selected judges will then choose the finalists with winners being announced on the night.
Nominating your favourite could not be simpler, just visit http://yeschef.ie/awards-2014 and fill in the details. We will require names and addresses and details of each nominee. There is no cha rge, no strings and YesChef are also offering a reader prize for the trouble you take to nominate the winner.
The winning nominator will be in with a chance to win a Jura Impressa F7 bean to cup coffee machine with the runner up winning a prize of a VIP night to the “YesChef Share your Dinner” charity night in Belfast later in the year including an overnight stay and VIP tickets to the Gala dinner of the year.
