Rory O’Connell’s - How to Cook Well at Christmas
Rory O’Connell’s current TV show, ‘How to Cook Well at Christmas’, is one of several deliciously popular RTE cooking programmes by celebrated Irish chefs that have been sponsored by Flogas over the past eight years.
Flogas, which has always been closely associated with all things cooking, has been the sponsor of several RTE Christmas TV Specials to date, first with Neven Maguire and then with Rory who took over in 2018. Neven’s MacNean House in Cavan and Rory’s Ballymaloe House in Cork are also long-time energy customers of Flogas.
Flogas has enjoyed a long relationship with Neven Maguire since the early 1990s and was first up to the plate to sponsor his Food Trails series on RTE television. That sponsorship began with Neven’s Spanish Food Trails in 2016 and since then, he has introduced us to some amazing Spanish, Italian and latterly, Portuguese food and dishes while also celebrating the best that Ireland has to offer with his immensely popular Greenway Food Trails in 2023, also sponsored by Flogas. The Christmas Specials and Food Trails programmes are all produced by David Hare of Irish company Inproduction TV.
John Rooney, Managing Director, Flogas, said “Flogas has been in homes throughout Ireland since 1978 and the brand has always been synonymous with cooking in households and hospitality. In addition, the Flogas mobile kitchen unit has been the perfect vehicle for Neven Maguire and many other chefs to hold cooking demonstrations countrywide, many of them done to raise much needed funds for local charities. Rory's How to Cook Well at Christmas is the perfect culinary introduction to the festive season, and we’re delighted to be part of it.”
