Flogas Warms Up Homeless Aid Sleepout
Mayor Kevin Callan and Councillor Paul Bell taking part in the annual Sleepout for Drogheda Homeless Aid
As the icy winds bit on the night of Saturday 13th December 2014, Flogas helped Drogheda Homeless Aid volunteers stay warm by supplying patio heaters and bottled gas while they were taking part in its 15th annual 24 hour fundraising Sleepout. Flogas also donated €500 to the very deserving charity which is helping to highlight the growing issue of homelessness in Drogheda. Local politicians, including Mayor Kevin Callan of Drogheda Borough Council and Councillor Paul Bell, joined volunteers from many local companies and organisations who sign up every year to spend the icy chill of a December night on the steps of St. Peter’s Church in West Street to raise much needed funds for its hostel at North Strand.
John Rooney, managing director, Flogas Ireland, said “We are delighted to support such a worthy charity right on our doorstep, which provides much needed and vital services to our local community all year round.”
