Flogas To Sponsor A Key Race At Hennessy Gold Cup Day

Flogas is delighted to announce its sponsorship of one of the key races at the upcoming Hennessy Gold Cup Day on 8th February 2015 at Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin.  The Flogas Novice Chase, run over a distance of two miles is one of four  Grade 1 races at the meeting. Last year’s winner was Ballycasey, ridden by Ruby Walsh and part of the Willie Mullins stable. Previous winners also include Florida Pearl, Boston’s Angel and Cooldine all of which have gone on to victory at Cheltenham.

The Hennessy Gold Cup Day is one of the most prestigious and glamorous race days in the National Hunt season and the only fixture in Ireland to feature four Grade 1 races on the one day.

John Rooney, managing director of Flogas Ireland, commented: “Flogas is proud to sponsor this important Grade 1 race which is run on one of Ireland’s top national sporting occasions and showcases the best of Irish racing to the world.”
