Festival energy partner Flogas Ireland has teamed up with Galway firm Brite Mobility to offer free e-bike trips on dedicated Flogas e-bikes to organisers, artists, accredited staff and ticketholders for this year’s Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) commencing this Saturday the 28th of August and running for three weeks.
Twenty Flogas branded zero carbon Brite electric bikes will be based at Brite Mobility’s five central locations and can be located by users in Brite’s smartphone app. User can click on a bike in the app’s map and see them tagged as a festival bike. Bikes can be used for zipping around Galway city during the festival. While anyone can use them, trips will be free to those officially involved with the GIAF or attending its events if they have registered on the Brite Mobility app.
John Rooney, managing director, Flogas said, “As proud energy partners to the Galway International Arts Festival, we are delighted to be able to offer all those associated with it a chance to enjoy free e-bike trips throughout the city, so they can make the most of this world-famous event.”
Flogas is one of Ireland’s fastest growing energy providers, providing renewable electricity, natural gas and LPG on the island of Ireland.
Colin Barry, founder of Brite Mobility said, “We’re delighted to be working with Flogas and the Galway International Arts festival on helping staff, artists and ticket holders get around Galway in a fast, zero carbon and safe manner. No more sitting in traffic and missing the start of your event!”
Brite Mobility launched Galway’s first shared electric micro mobility service in early 2020. Brite Mobility supplies electric commuter vehicle managed services for corporate and university campuses as well as electric delivery vehicle managed services for last mile delivery businesses in Ireland.
To avail of your free Flogas e-bike trip, download the Brite Mobility app, available on IOS or Android, register in app and then email copies of your credentials or event tickets to community@britemobility.com or via whatsapp +353872087244 for Brite to add you to the free bike system. Users then scan onto a festival bike for the bike to start and they will not be charged once the trip stays under four hours. E-bikes are subject to availability.
